A Cross Stitch Bookmark

Over at Our Craft Forum we recently had a bookmark swap.  For my partner I decided to make a cross stitch bookmark, so went to our local Bernia shop and picked up this cute New Zealand Lamb one.  Unfortunately whenever I see the words New Zealand Lamb I think of a yummy juicy roast.  I do hope that Willoger likes the bookmark.

Yay....A Finish

Wow!! It's been so long since I posted on this blog, though my main blog I do keep up regularly.  I still have not finished my Mirabila cross stitch even though I was aiming for the end of 2011.  I have nearly finished, I must say and have been working on it during my time of work these past few weeks.  So amongst my sewing I have also been doing during my break I completed one little cross stitch.

I was given this little kit about 10 years ago and at the time had only used 12ct and 14ct Aida fabric, so when I got a 25ct fabric it was beyond me at the time.  I started stitching it then noted it was all wrong, so unpicked it all and it became a UFO.

Well only a few days ago I remembered this UFO and dug deep in my chest in my bedroom and out it came.  Over a few hours at night watching Scary Movie with hubby and son, then the next day watching some teen flick with daughter and friend I sewed it all up.

I wonder now what was all the fuss all those years ago, as it was do simple to do.  Also the first time I hem stitched and that was a breeze too.

So here is the Rainbow Sachet competed.

This was a Cross Stitch kit from Treasured Times which is/was based in Christchurch.  My sister'n'law gave it to me as a Xmas present.

Slow Progress

Slowly still making prgress on my Mirabilia 'The Woodland Fairy'.  I DO need to take a photo of my progress.  I DO want to finish it this year.  My next major x-stitch is going to be either:

Mirabilia's Christmas Elegance

or

Mirabilia's Sleeping Beauty

Maybe if I buy the supplies I may get my other one finished

It's Been So Long

Well  it has been so long since I have posted on here.  However I have been doing a little bit of cross-stitch. Not much though.  Will have to get the good old camera out and post a picture of where my Mirabilia is up to.  I do hope I finish it this year....well I plan on finishing it this year so will.

Future Projects

Well I haven't done any stitching for a while.  I know I should have, but have been busy doing other things.  Also, if I wasn't on the computer so much I might get some done.  Anyway, here are some kits I have that one day I will complete.  I have a couple of others but have to find them amongst my stash.  I do love the Country Threads kits.  Have so many more on my wish list.
I also have some Mirabilia and Lavendar & Lace patterns that are are my list to do as well.  I swear I have more than this.  I will have to search for them.
